You will serve as a MATERIALS EXPEDITER in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT, EXECUTION SUPPORT BRANCH of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will maintain accountability of materials by part number or kit number for rapid location of materials. You will assemble material into kits, packages, lots, or units based on instructions, specifications, or shop requirements. You will inspect incoming stock items to verify item condition and destination. You will follow materials handling equipment safety requirements when loading, unloading, and securing cargo. You will research material, submit STS Tickets to have LSN's created, and submit purchase requests.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Position requires employee to work overtime, to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays and be available for recall.
  • Incumbent may be directed to assist various trade personnel to perform trade tasks in a supporting role.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including Storing and issuing products and supplies; using automated systems to enter and extract data; performing inventories of materials/supplies; and completing forms relating to quantity and stock description of materials. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
