Duties

Serves as a banquet captain and working leader of 3 or more servers in accomplishing trades and labor work. As banquet captain, incumbent reviews the banquet event ordering requirements. Informs supervisor of overall results and or makes recommendations for future changes, and provides informal feedback to staff on performance. Plans work by reviewing daily schedules and determines sequences, steps, procedures and techniques to be followed in accomplishing the work. Ensures staff and banquet order requirements are ready, greets the host or the point of contact for the event, reviews operation in progress and sets the work pace with the servers, assigns staff to tasks, and receives payment for the event.

• Stands and walks for long periods.
• Continually lifts and carries, by balancing food, beverage and banqueting items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

1. Six months experience in banqueting. 2. Must be friendly and outgoing. 3.
