Duties

You will serve as the command network administrator responsible for the planning, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, problem resolution and network asset management of switches, routers, firewalls, and other network security devices. You will integrate new routers, switches, firewalls, IPS devices, VPNs, and network devices into the existing networks and coordinate with service providers to maximize network throughput while meeting all INFOSEC requirements. You will document all network configurations including network diagrams (physical and logical), interface, port, and Virtual LAN assignments, Internet Protocol (IP) address assignments and IP registration. You will schedule and coordinate system/network downtime with activities as a result of changes or upgrades.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience using required knowledge in Cisco networking devices/applications and skill in deploying within an existing network infrastructure (e.g. Cisco Router/Switch Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)) and cyber security tools/appliances (e.g. Nessus Security Center, SolarWinds Orion and Security Event Manager, Splunk, Cisco Secure Firewalls). BASIC REQUIREMENT

Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
