About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Activity Center on Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania.
The position is a flexible position, which means you are not guaranteed hours or benefits but could work anywhere between 0 and 40 hours per week. Flex employees will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, and other activities. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
Duties
Assists Program manager with daily sales and paperwork to support the Information Ticket and Tours program.
Maintains a current knowledge of recreational attractions in the local and adjacent areas/states.
Stays abreast of current ticket price of all major attractions in the area.
Furnishes information (schedules, costs, reservations, and miscellaneous matters pertaining to the program) to prospective participants in the program either in person or by telephone. Which includes frequent personal contact with all ranks of the military.
Receives and records payment for ticket sales.
Responsible for preparing cashier reports and depositing money. Provides patron with written and register receipts.
Performs daily inventory of all prepaid and consignment tickets.
Requires working at least one Saturday each month.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Knowledge of cash handling procedures and accountability . Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skills in dealing with the public. Must be meticulous.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
