About the Position:
Serves as a Program Director for the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Energy and Environment) (ASA (IE&E)), in the Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI).
This announcement is open for Army civilian employees only. This is a temporary promotion or time-limited appointment. Term position not to exceed 13 months and may be extended up to 6 years.
Duties
Provide project management and quality assurance (QA) support to the OEI (Office of Energy Initiatives) directors and U.S Army and Engineering Support Center, Huntsville (CEHNC) on assigned project(s).
Review, validate, and approve contract invoices, including travel documentation and integrates results into reports.
Review all phases of project control including the interpretation of and compliance with criteria, regulations, policies, and procedures, design and construction authorization, availability, and application of funds.
Organizes data, interpret, clarifies guidance, and effectively communicates with Contracting Officer, OEI staff and CEHNC Managers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Up to 50% of TDY may be required.
- Secret Security Clearance required.
- Financial Disclosure required upon entrance on duty and annually.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 13 months. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.

Specialized Experience:
One-year specialized experience which includes planning and execution of projects, conduct studies to identify/propose solutions to management problems related to program wide energy issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)
