The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Chief Operating Officer (COO) administers the Director of National Intelligence (DNI's) vision and direction to the ODNI enterprise. This includes synchronizing policy, plans, procedures, and cross-functional issues. The COO oversees all ODNI business operations, including such areas as human resources, diversity & inclusion, finance and budget, information technology, security, facilities, and information management.

Duties

The COO Executive Secretariat Office (ESO) directly supports the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Principal Deputy DNI. COO is seeking a team lead, a supervisory staff officer tasked to: Lead a team of high-performing officers, responsible for vetting, coordinating, and executing engagements and travel for the DNI and PDDNI. Interface directly with the principals, and their staff, as appropriate, to clarify requirements and ensure expectations are consistently met without compromising quality. Provide oversight of the processes and procedures utilized to task, track, review, edit, and deliver timely and high quality read ahead material in advance of all executive engagements. Plan and manage all aspects of partner visits with leadership, to include advancing coordination with partners, developing meeting agendas, preparing leadership for meetings, developing Memorandum for Records, and monitoring the completion of follow-on actions. Plan, develop, and present briefing papers, meeting guidance, and other related information on partner information sharing issues, partner relationships, and policies for senior leaders. Lead a team of professional staff and assess performance, collaborate and oversee goal setting, and provide feedback on personal development.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and in a manner that is targeted to and meets the needs of diverse audiences with different perspectives and objectives. Extensive experience and knowledge of inter-agency coordination and operations to sustain effective working relationships with other U.S. Government departments, agencies, and centers. Extensive knowledge of intelligence analysis, consensus building, as well as the application and integration of utilizing cooperative relationships within the IC, U.S. Government, and foreign partners in protecting the U.S. and its interest abroad. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment. Experience managing and executing engagements and travel for cabinet-level officials.
