This position provides administrative and advanced clerical support to a Deputy Director which enables that Deputy's staff to be more effective and efficient.

MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Qualifying experience for the GS-09 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-07 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-07 level include: researching and analyzing established administrative issues; acting as liaison with individuals and groups both inside and outside an organization regarding administrative and/or organizational matters; participated in the administration of basic budget and procurement problems; and preparing a variety of written documents, such as staff papers, status reports, or policy recommendations.SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCEEducation requirements at the GS-09 level may be met by (2) full academic years of graduate level education or completion of all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.B or J.D. degree.COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEquivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications:Ability to provide advice and guidance to managers related to administrative functions within an organization.Ability to communicate in writing.
