You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the NAVAL SERVICE TRAINING COMMAND (NSTC) of NSTC GREAT LAKES.

Duties

You will maintain customer accounts in a financial system. You will present financial information using Excel spreadsheets. You will analyze financial management system processes for functionality. You will reconcile financial transactions to identify discrepancies. You will advise employees or managers on routine financial issues.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing understanding of pay and accounting systems, policies, and procedures; 2) Utilizing procedures and regulations for procurement, travel regulations, commercial practices, and provisions of government contracts. ; 3) Applying customer service skills and attention to detail when performing budget analysis, generating pay transactions, and completing administrative tasks.
