This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Administrative Services in Washington, D.C. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all phases of the facilities program dealing with space, property, safety, motor vehicles including the development of policies, and programs designed to increase the effectiveness of SBA's operations.
Duties
Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures within assigned program area of space management operations.
Project Management: Plan, develop, and coordinate long and short range space renovation/relocation projects. Establishes project schedules; coordinates work to ensure project completion; provides project oversight.
Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) Administration: Provide Computer Aided Development & Design and Computer Aided Facility Management support.
Space Management: Conducts space reviews and analysis of SBA program office activities to determine how space renovations and relocations can be designed and implemented to improve program effectiveness and reduce operating costs.
Develops space designs, including furniture layouts, using AutoCAD software. Prepares drawings for office redesign, including building alterations and furnishings, cost estimates, and implementation schedules.
Prepares correspondence, fact sheets, status reports and schedules to complete project assignments and to keep management informed. Provides input and updates to schedules and progress reports.

Qualifications
GS-13: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector: managing small to large office building projects and/or office complexes including improving customer and client/agency satisfaction with facility services applying principles and techniques to managing, planning, and improving space utilization for owned/leased space; providing oversight and technical guidance on matters pertaining to renovation/relocation, managing disposal of real/personal property, working to reduce space footprint, organizing and coordinating internal and external stakeholders effectively; developing project plans and budgets for approved space management projects; working with federal space management regulations, policies, and procedures providing technical advice and guidance to nation-wide program staff; collaborating with cross-functional teams managing on space management programs; conducting survey work; closing out procurement/project processes; developing maintenance programs; updating/reviewing record drawings and storing essential facility space plans, operations, and maintenance documents in an organized data repository.
