Duties
This position is located in the Contingency Planning Brach (dxc) at the United States Coast Guard (USCG) District Seven located in Miami, FL. and reports directly to the Chief of Contingency Planning
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This position requires a Secret clearance.
- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- This position requires travel.
Qualifications
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, or abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include:
Emergency Management Planning; resource management; planning, coordinating, and executing exercises and preparedness training; evaluation of exercises, planned events and real-world incidents.
Use of the USCG’s Contingency Preparedness System (CPS) for exercise program management, after action reporting, and lessons learned analysis.
Tracking of corrective actions in the Remedial Action Management Program (RAMP).
Implementation of National Incident Management System (NIMS) protocols in responding to incidents
