This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Office of the Director (OD), IBC Enterprise Management. The incumbent will be responsible for enterprise emergency planning, preparedness, and response for the IBC staff, contractors, and facilities.
Duties
1. Coordinates and executes the IBC enterprise-wide emergency management program.
2. Develop and maintain continuity of operations and reconstitution plans for IBC. (Occupant Emergency Plans).
3. Coordinates with emergency coordinators within the IBC Directorates to determine their operational and functional capabilities in emergencies. Ensures that COOP team members are trained for their roles.
4. Administer and manage employee accountability emergency management notification system.
5. Coordinates and executes disaster response or crisis management activities for IBC.
Qualifications

Specialized Experience GS-13: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience, is an experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, or abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience includes: 1.) Leading the development of continuity policies, plans, or procedures; 2.) Researching and interpreting continuity policies, plans, or directives; 3.) Briefing internal and external personnel; 4.) Evaluate plans and recommend modification; 5.) Receives and analyzes reports, provides recommendations, disseminates information, and leads crisis action planning AND 6.) Applying laws, regulations, directives, instructions, and technical and field manuals, outlining the procedures to develop an Emergency Management organization. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
