You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SUSTAINMENT AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING BRANCH, SURVEILLANCE RADAR DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS AND LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as the Detachment Logistics Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead for Surveillance Raday Systems including AN/SPS-48, AN/SPS-67, AN/SPS-73, AN/SPS-77, AN/TPS-49, AN/TPS-80 radars. You will be responsible for all logistics elements in support of acquisition, design, test and evaluation, installations, and life cycle support. You will coordinate the technical and programmatic efforts of a team of engineers, logisticians, and program support personnel to provide full spectrum In-Service Engineering Agent services for all surveillance radar systems. You will manage product support functions required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of radar systems, subsystems, and components. You will develop the acquisition strategy and sustainment plans that emphasize total life-cycle support goals and prepare comprehensive program plans including the preparation of documents, specification requirements, criteria and standards.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing logistics product support data to conduct supportability analysis, make recommendations, and resolve logistics issues impacting shipboard radar system projects.
