You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SURVEILLANCE RADAR DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS AND LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as the Division Supportability Integrator (SI) responsible for overseeing all Division Product Support activities and ensure the technical quality of the division's logistics products and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring health and sustainability of assigned weapon systems while considering suitability in system designs and the elements necessary for suitable and cost-effective operation. You will provide insight into traditional and evolving Combat System Lifecycle Support Requirements necessary to provide guidance and quality assurance for all Integrated Product Support (IPS) processes in the department. You will prepare technical reports and/or lead investigations to address deficiencies in supportability areas, develop metrics, and serve as a member of selected internal/external agency assessments. You will lead and integrate high-performing cross-functional teams of engineering, technical and logistics personnel in developing and implementing programmatic requirements from acquisition through phase out.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating integrated logistics support (ILS) and supportability requirements to manage projects and provide guidance in the product support integration of ship combat or weapon systems.
