As an Administrative Specialist with the Office of General Counsel you will be responsible for collaborating with senior leaders to strategize on administrative plans and implement or maintain organizational records. You will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight for a full range of administrative activities, which include monitoring travel, training, and assisting with workforce and budget matters.

Duties

Coordinates and schedules high-level meetings and briefings, maintains and, as necessary, develops selected reports to assist senior level staff with the management of tasks and projects. Collaborates with senior leaders to strategize on administrative plans, implements, or maintains organizational records; utilize analytical methods to identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate solutions for efficiency. Performs administrative functions of organizational requirements to secure adequate control of deadlines, progress reports, and databases. Provides deliverable reports to Center or Enterprise leadership as required. Advises/guides staff and oversees all administrative needs for the organization e.g., onboarding personnel, track organizational actions, manage travel, training coordination, etc. Provides support for the planning and management of the organizational budget and maintains financial records. Provides support for the planning and coordination of various events, seminars, workshops, retreats, and site coordination. Requirements

  • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Reviewing administrative or business operations to determine compliance with organizational policies; Participating in the development and implementation of organizational records and making recommendations for administrative guidelines, issues, or operations; Preparing and presenting data to support the development of organizational functions, office operations, or process setting.
