About the Position: Serves as Visual Information Specialist for the Training and Career Management Division, DCoS, US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) and incumbent is responsible for producing a variety of Visal Information products.

Duties

Responsible for performing a wide variety of Visual Information (VI) and Multimedia (MM) functional and technical expertise in support of AMCOM G-1 (Human Resources), Training and Career Management Division (TCMD) operations. Responsible for utilization of an instructional design studio. Plan, create and execute visual information projects primarily in the form of instructional and informational printed, in classrooms and online publications, visual and audio presentations, and exhibits. Develops a comprehensive database of visual information including in-house generated computer graphics, photos, videos and subject matter information.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance during the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of traveling up to 25% or less.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and use of digital camera and video equipment, photography, Adobe and MS Office graphical products, digital editing software, and other kinds of visual material and tools for use in communicating information through digital means; experience in methods, techniques and materials used in design, production, and reproduction of visual products; and/or analysis and design of hardware/software as applicable to VI systems requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-2 or GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
