Duties
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the NETWORK OPS DIV N63, CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS DEPT N6, COMMAND GROUP-CMSA LANT N00, NORFOLK, VA.
You will be responsible for Systems and Network Administration for numerous physical and virtual Microsoft Windows and Unix servers and managing the cybersecurity (INFOSEC) posture of multiple interconnected, classified enclaves for CMSA LANT
You will provide the department(s) with advanced technical support and responsible for planning, installing, administering, and maintaining CMSA LANT’s specialized INFOSEC systems and mission critical TLAM and HSW systems and networks.
You will be involved in customer service, administrative and technical writing IT asset lifecycle management, configuration, change, and problem management, cyber security, and certain facets of project management.
You will provide integrated capabilities to deter and dissuade threats and, when directed, defeat adversaries through decisive global kinetic and nonkinetic combat effects.
You will conduct threat and vulnerability assessments to access risks and determine effective corrective measures.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

GS-13: In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience applying a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to the interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines such as hardware integration, operating systems and application software for small and medium sized networks operating at differing levels of security classifications.
Experience operating systems and virtualization software (e.g. Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, and Linux operating environment), Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation, data storage virtualization hardware and techniques (e.g., fault tolerance, redundant array of independent disks (RAID) installation and configuration), directory services (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory), systems management software (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)) with the mastery of skill in applying this knowledge to evaluate and verify impacts on the current and planned CMSA LANT and TLAM Federation System architectures.
GS-12: In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience maintaining Cisco networking devices/applications (e.g. Cisco Router/Switch Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)) and cyber security tools/appliances (e.g. Nessus Security Center, SolarWinds Orion and Security Event Manager, Splunk, Cisco Secure Firewalls) to include bandwidth management concepts and IT security methods sufficient to implement networks that support mission requirements.
Experience applying cyber security principles, methods, and tools to design, develop, implement, and manage systems and data to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability. Practical knowledge of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
Experience integrating multiple IT specialty areas needed to plan, design and implement systems/networking projects and develop innovative strategies for resolving system/network implementation integration issues.
GS-11: In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience analyzing cause of system failures, evaluates processing impact and develops alternatives for all system failures and situations to include "quick fixes" for the 11 restoration of production on multiple mission critical systems/networks.
Experience developing and executing recovery plans to fully restore all IT operational assets.
Experience applying DOD and agency policies, procedures, regulations, directives and requirements related to information security with the requisite mastery of skills pertaining to network administration, operation and configuration.
Experience developing guidance and procedures to identify system or network problems, vulnerabilities, and/or potential security violations through complex audit log aggregation and analysis across multiple systems and networks of differing classifications and time zones.
