Duties
The successful candidate will perform the full range of duties to manage multiple employee development and training programs for the NRC. This includes oversight of the Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network (NRAN) program, the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program (SESCDP) and several development programs such as career mentoring, the NRC Ambassador and NRC Connect program for new staff, and the external leadership programs for all NRC staff.Such duties include but are not limited to:

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:1. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NRC regulatory programs (or similar) used in protecting the public health and safety.
2. Demonstrated experience leading a diverse staff to include motivating staff and keeping them engaged, identifying learning opportunities or training and developmental needs to gain regulatory skills or otherwise, and measuring progress in achieving program goals.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide programmatic management initiative and leadership, to effectively formulate program goals and objectives, organize, and direct programs, that leverage and manage resources, to achieve program and agency goals.
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, and to coordinate and manage relationships with skill sufficient to motivate, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of a significantly diverse team.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience to equip the individual to manage large programs such as centralized employee development training programs, experience in measuring program efficacy or implement program innovations.
