Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
1. Experience managing and supervising highly technical, scientific, and/or administrative employees while applying management and prioritization skills to effectively plan and coordinate the work of those staff.
2. Experience implementing actions to accomplish assigned tasks consistent with organizational mission and strategic plans.
3. Experience utilizing change management tools and strategies to implement change to organizational processes, practices, policies, and/or requirements.
4. Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and stakeholders (e.g., regional contacts, members of the public, licensees, professional societies, other federal and non-federal agencies, etc.) to accomplish goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:1. Demonstrated experience providing leadership for a diverse staff in accomplishing mission-critical programs with competing deadlines and conflicting resource demands.
2. Demonstrated experience presenting regulatory and/or technical information, both orally and in writing, and building and sustaining coalitions across organizations. Specific experience communicating information, ideas, and advice with colleagues, subordinates, managers, and external parties (e.g., regional contacts, members of the public, representatives of professional groups and/or other Federal or State agencies).
3. Demonstrated ability to lead change through successful approaches to problem solving, conflict resolution, and use of available information and risk insights.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production and demonstrated experience applying these functions to regulatory, policy, and/or corporate support areas.
