This Interdisciplinary position is located at U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range, Test Technology Directorate.
Duties
Serves as an instrumentation specialist and performs tasks as a project engineer and technical point of contact. Documents findings and prepares technical reports on overall systems' performance.
Monitors and evaluates contractor proposals and designs, as well as any subsequent modifications, develops and implements specific hardware and software elements for the instrumentation systems.
Analyzes and evaluates systems performance and tracking accuracies and capabilities.
Designs, develops, and implements modifications for systems improvements. Recommendations may involve rework of major systems, redesign of electronic circuitry and/or re-engineering of hardware components.
Performs extensive testing and engineering analysis of the instrumentation Systems.

Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Test and Evaluation Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position is subject to a Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.
- A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.
