About the Position: This position in the Logistics Division located in Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
Duties
Provides support services essential to the operation of the Medical Quality Control Program (MQCP).
Reviews regulations on storage of hazardous material to ensure proper storage segregation, such as acids, flammables, etc., are in compliance with requirements.
Examines drugs and biologicals for deterioration such as caking, brittleness, corrosion, discoloration, evaporation, hardening, separation, crystallization, etc.
Create reports for quality control or overdue quality control actions, expiration actions, etc.
Serves as initial action official on the receipt and dissemination of quality control messages, notifications, and manufacture recalls on all Class VIII medical supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45 pounds is required.

Basic Requirements for Medical Quality Inspection Technician GS-07:
Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes preparing reports for inventory purposes, regulating inventory to fulfill customer orders, and relaying information to customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
