About the Position: This position is located in the Radiology Department of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, North Carolina. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of clerical duties for the Radiology staff.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Duties
Verify patient's eligibility for ordered radiologic exams.
Schedule appointments for various radiologic procedures such as CT scans, Fluoroscopy, Mammograms, MRI, and Ultrasounds.
Request patients' films and reports from other military and civilian facilities by facsimile or mail as needed.
Utilize computer systems to perform clerical and administrative tasks for the facility.
Ensure patients and visitors receive the best possible care within the department.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position has a Secret Clearance requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or general experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, scheduling appointments, preparing patients for procedures, and utilizing automated systems to enter and retrieve data within the medical treatment facility.
OR
Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
