About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Pool. This position is considered Flex. It is guaranteed 0-40 hours, You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Duties

:Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. Warms swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions or hazards, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail. May operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specific standards. Ensures that diving boards are inspected frequently for cracks or loose matting, and that necessary repairs are made. Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position DOS NOT allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
