This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Strategic Planning Advisor, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serves as a strategic lead on high-value comprehensive media campaign contract and working collaboratively with a fast-paced campaign team and contractors to quickly get vital messages to vulnerable communities.
Monitors, addressing, and coordinating human resource needs for the team. Lead strategic planning for staffing and on-boarding detailees for the PEC.
Coordinates to develop high quality and strategic responses to questions from the White House, Congressional and interagency inquiries, etc. Liaise with the ASPA communications teams to stay informed about external briefing materials for various audiences, e.g., Congress, the Administration, media, etc.
The incumbent manages the development and formulation of strategic objectives, success metrics, campaign process systems, and human capital systems, to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day implementation of the PEC.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing all of the following:
Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a major segment of a department-wide mission or administrative program.
Providing technical assistance and direct support to human resource matters relating to strategic and organizational planning; planning, programming, budgeting, and accountability;
Serving as a liaison between different organizations and groups to establish and achieve mission goal
Developing strategy and policy products, educational materials, and briefing documents to inform various audiences
Analyzing and/or evaluating the impact of new or proposed legislation on organizational operations
