About the position: This position will be assigned to the Silver Sage Golf and Events Center.
This is a Regular Part Time position with a guaranteed hours of 20 per week, however may work up to 40 hours per week.

Duties
Assist the Club Management Team in the arrangements for catering activities (i.e. banquets, parties, receptions, luncheons and other special activities) requiring food and beverage service provided by the Silver Sage Golf and Events Center. Serves food and drinks to guests before and during events. Assists in the set up and/or breakdown/cleanup of tables, chairs dinnerware and linens for events. Assists the Club Management Team in obtaining pertinent information from internal and external patrons, such as number of guests expected, seating arrangements, decorations and music/entertainment desires; discusses food menu and beverage requirements, and prices. Assists the Club Management Team in drawing up special function contracts, obtaining member's signature and providing this information to different departments as required. Assist in the maintenance of the function reservation book and function contracts. Assists with accepting reservations; planning function layouts; and as required, observes, and oversees functions in progress. Responsible for assisting the Club Management Team with daily and monthly paperwork. Ensures that staff performs duties in accordance with prescribed standards of service, personal appearance, behavior, uniform, and sanitation. Responsible for demonstrating proper work methods and techniques; promotes teamwork; encourages staff to follow management instructions and take pride in organizational objectives. Works with other employees or alone in setting up banquet rooms for dinners, cocktail receptions, meetings, or other special function requests.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Required to work an uncommon tour of duty (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
- Must be physically able to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to assist in planning and organizing social functions for large groups of people. Experience scheduling special events and arranging for catering services; responsibility for overseeing the food preparation or facility layout for group social functions; organizing activities which require coordination of numerous tasks. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures, make simple mathematical computations and prepare checks for patrons.
