This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.

As a Branch Chief Subsidy Oversight Branch, you will: Oversee the development and implementation of training curricula for use by Headquarters and field staff with respect to the program and operational jurisdiction of the Branch. Provide program information, advice, and guidance to Congressional representatives, Departmental officials, representatives from other governmental agencies, and other clients. Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures developed or implemented by the Branch, and develops recommendations for improvement where necessary. Interprets and provides guidance on established procedures to Headquarters and field staff, representatives from other program areas, non-HUD clients, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: - Leading or managing a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards achieving project goals and objectives; AND - Developing proposals to bring about administrative policy and procedure changes relating to Multifamily housing programs; AND - Coordinating, consulting with, and providing technical assistance to program officials, residents, citizen groups, or government officials in support of a variety Multifamily housing programs. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
