You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the TRANSPORTATION BRANCH of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties
You will conduct studies and special surveys to determine the current, projected, normal and emergency vehicle/ automotive equipment requirements or replacement of equipment.
You will maintain an accurate inventory record for all civil engineering support equipment assigned to the Transportation Branch.
You will monitor and evaluate directives and policies related to the Transportation Business Line.
You will ensure the government and/or Base Operating Support Contractor (BOSC) meets financial program management requirements.
You will assign schedules and dispatch a variety of B and C equipment (e.g. cargo trucks, materials handling equipment (MHE), and weight handling equipment (WHE) best suited for the work to be completed by the customer.
You will receive and physically inspect all new equipment.
You will schedule transportation requests, assign operators and determine the type of vehicle/equipment required to support requests.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintain data utilizing software such as Maximo, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; 2) Apply a multitude of standardized rules, procedures, extended training and experience to resolve a wide range of program management related problems; 3) Identify process discrepancies and develop non-published monitoring tools in order to acquire meaningful and objective data; 4) Utilize management financial tracking and reporting requirements to assists in budget preparation and assists customers with billing inquires. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
