You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the Transportation Branch of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will conduct studies and special surveys to determine the current, projected, normal and emergency vehicle/ automotive equipment requirements or replacement of equipment. You will monitor and evaluate directives and policies related to the Transportation Business Line. You will advise and make recommendations to higher authorities concerning transportation matters. You will receive and physically inspect all new equipment. You will manage 3000 pieces of CESE daily. You will prepare documents, files, receipts, and other paperwork in accordance with applicable records management processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing equipment i.e. civil engineering support equipment (CESE), to include utilization, maintenance, assignment and replacement; 2) Supporting CNIC and tenant missions to include the Physical Security, Fire and Emergency Services, Fleet Readiness , and supporting various customer reimbursable tenants and customers; and 3) Overseeing Weight Handling Equipment, Material Handling Equipment training and licensing, Mobile Equipment Work Platform (MEWP) training and licensing, and Passenger bus training and licensing. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience.

Must have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management,statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.

OR

OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
