About the Position: This position performs a variety of clerical, technical and adminstrative support work.
Duties
Prepares memos and actions related to Recruiter Misconduct, Suitability/Position of Special Trust and Authority, and Adverse Personnel actions (e.g.,relief-for-cause, reprimand, Uniform Code of Military Justice actions, administrative eliminations).
Reviews adverse actions pertaining to personnel assigned to the Brigade and subordinate battalions including letters of reprimand, relief-for-cause, administrative eliminations, and criminal actions.
Prepares and tracks all necessary correspondence to implement the Commander's decision and to forward the action to higher headquarters or to supporting installation as appropriate.
Maintains suspense records on all correspondence and action documents and follows-up to ensure a timely reply or action.
Prepares travel requests and all associated actions and documentation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Preparing documentation in support of administrative and adverse actions 2) Maintaining tracking systems and/or reports for legal and personnel actions. AND 3) Reviewing incoming/outgoing files and distributing information to requesting individuals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
