You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the Visitor Control Center of NAVMAG INDIAN ISLAND SEC DET.
Duties
You will assist and guide the staff in the procedural work of the office and in the preparation of correspondence.
You will provide documentation, reports and vehicle maintenance programs for each vehicle location within the Region or Sign assigned.
You will perform and or monitor standardized aspects of established security program operations.
You will verbally transmit instructions and desires of the Site Manager or senior staff pertaining to administrative matters.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Ordering office supplies; 2) Composing correspondence and reports using word processing software; 3) Utilizing correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization to complete documents; and 4) Receiving visitors and/or screening phone calls to determine the nature of requests to direct callers to the appropriate person or office.
