Duties

You will prepare correspondence and documents in accordance with regulations and policies ensuring they follow proper structure, grammar, and punctuation. You will perform customer service by interacting with internal and external clients and assisting in finding resolutions of issues or concerns. You will input data accurately into the command's personnel security program database to ensure that all required Security forms are verified for completion. You will process requests for the issuance of vehicle decals, temporary passes, contractor or vendor passes, or visitor passes.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying security directives pertaining to entry and visitor control of restricted areas; 2) Preparing documents and correspondences while checking for proper grammar, spelling and punctuations; 3) Maintaining records in a computer system to quickly retrieve and provide information. Four years of education above high school

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
