This position is located at US Mint,Mint-HQ/Office of the Dir/Financial Dir. As a Human Resources Officer (Human Capital Officer), you will lead the development, administration, operation, and evaluation of Mint-wide human resources, human capital, programs, forecast future workforce needs; develop strategic and tactical methods to implement workforce plans; evaluate the success of human resources, human capital, and strategies; evaluate outcomes related to Mint programs.
Duties
As a Human Resources Officer (Human Capital Officer), you will:
Serve as the Human Capital Officer with responsibility for planning, directing, and administering human resources management program for the Mint.
Develop policy, methodologies, and procedures to accomplish mission requirements and objectives.
Serve as advisor to the Mint's Senior Leadership Team on critical and essential human resource policies, programs, and services.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience:
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in 4 of the 6 areas of Human Resource Management:
a)Employee Relations and Labor Relations
b)Performance Management and Rewards
c)Human Capital Training and Development
d)Position Management and Organizational Design
e) Staffing and Classification
f) Political Transition and Executive Staffing, Development and Performance Management
in which you were responsible for:
- applying a wide range of workforce management concepts, principles, laws, regulations and practices; and
- providing executive direction over day to day operations of an organization; and
- leading teams to ensure on-time execution of plans and projects; and
- advising senior management on workforce policies and administration.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.
