About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.

Duties

Oversee operation of the Standard Army Logistics Information Systems (LIS) to ensure inventory accountability, asset availability, and automated data processing equipment serviceability in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Receive, store, and issue a wide variety of equipment and supplies. Serve as the authority and overall manager for all supply systems within the Installation Supply Support Activity. Plan, direct, control, and coordinate the LIS requisition processes, turn-ins, issues, receipts, shipments, and stored items. Manage the requisition, receipt, and warehousing of all authorized stockage list items. Perform location and cyclic surveys and inventories to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained within established Army requirements. Conduct investigative research and provide detailed written documentation as required for all Inventory Adjustment Reports generated by the LIS. Serve as the subject matter expert for the LIS operations in support of the single stock fund. Produce monthly reconciliation reports for customers; and conduct face-to-face customer reconciliation reports when accuracy does not meet established goals.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). -OR- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or another related field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
