Duties

As a Chief of Staff, you will perform the following duties: Reviews and provides feedback on reports and deliverables related to the Federal Budget or Congressional Budget processes. Interprets, coordinates and aids Senior Executive implementation of budgetary policies for a large organization to include budget administration and integration of financial management. Interact with Senior Executives and staff to coordinate priorities and the vision of the Budget Director and Chief Financial Officer. Streamline and improve operations and optimize Customer Service. Coordinate with program managers and employees to carry out decisions made by senior leadership. Manage and monitor projects for completion and submissions in accordance with the suspense date. Arrange and coordinate meetings to discuss and analyze tactical strategies in relation to personnel issues, financial management procedures, special projects, and executive correspondence and tasking.

  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Providing management advisory services to leadership; Implementing best business practices by linking strategic planning, budgeting, and performance reporting; Planning, organizing the study, estimating costs, coordinating with staff and line management personnel throughout all phases of projects; Developing project plans, identifying work to be done, the scope of the project, and deadlines for completion.
