About the Position: This Deployment Specialist position is located at I Corps Senior CDR AUG, G-4 Logistics with a duty location of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
Supervise multiple deployments in support of military operations and training exercises Time-Phased-Force-Deployment (TPFDD) documents simultaneously while working as a member of the Senior Commander AUG TDA, I Corps MMS G4.
Provide transportation and traffic management technical advice, guidance, direction and input for worldwide movement of Army units in support of contingency plans, deployments, joint maneuvers, exercises, and other operational commitments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 20% of the time.
- This position is designated an Emergency Essential (Key) position.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.

Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience involves 1) Experience in deployment and redeployment of forces during exercises, contingency operations and general wartime; AND/OR 2) Maintaining deployment data using systems intrinsic to military deployments; AND/OR 3) Interpreting the regulations, policies and procedures pertinent to Department of Defense structure; AND/OR 4) Experience with transportation requirements to resolve complex problems related to deployments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
