About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Manages and administers the operation of the Executive Office, to include coordination and control of Agency staff actions and functions, relieving the DASA (DEC) of administrative details to the maximum extent possible.
Coordinates congressional, inter-agency, inter-Service and non-government actions and serves as the DASA (DEC)’s trusted agent on Agency issues, inquiries, and problems of a sensitive or controversial nature.
Attends meetings outside the Agency on behalf of the DASA (DEC).
Liaison and personal coordination with the office of the Assistant Secretary of Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, other elements of Headquarters Department of the Army, Defense Security Cooperation Agency and other Services.
Manages the DASA (DEC) event calendar and the Front Office Daily Tasker list.
Ensures all DASA travel is coordinated with other Army Senior Leaders, DSCA, State Department, other Services and representatives from the international country being visited.
Provides expert advisory support to the Agency’s directors and staff offices on operating problems and difficulties within limits of established Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policy or development of FMS policy.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 15% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for PROGRAM MANAGEMENT certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience: 1) Coordinating the execution of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program requirements to ensure effective program implementation; 2) Advise on regulations and policies that govern FMS programs; and, 3) Providing guidance on Continuity of Operation (COOP) coordination to ensures all requirements are met.
