You will serve as a Automotive Transportation Specialist withNAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will control the use of Government fuel credit cards for a command. You will provide vehicle inventory assignment updates to ensure an organization meets its transportation requirements. You will coordinate transfer and disposal of vehicles using appropriate procedures and maintain records in MAXIMO. You will review Motor Vehicle Accident Reports (SF-91 form) to confirm information is completed with required signatures and other essential documentation. You will manage the maintenance of transportation equipment (e.g., vehicles, weight handling equipment) in MAXIMO You will prepare documents, files, receipts, and other paperwork in accordance with applicable records management processes and procedures

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing fleet support programs by analyzing transportation requirements, utilization and rental costs of automotive and transportation equipment, and directs action for changes or improvements in operation to provide the most optimum and cost effective programs for both purchased and leased vehicles; 2) Creating and maintaining vehicle records and vehicle assignments in the fleet management system of record(i.e. MAXIMO);coordinates and communicates professionally with clients; 3)Ensuring vehicles and equipment are properly serviced and maintained while on assignment; 4) Establishing, administering, maintaining, and reporting on the Fleet Card Program; 5) Documenting, maintaining, and analyzing vehicle/equipment damage records and long term vehicle requirements; and 6) Researching and providing input for data calls related to transportation. **Note: This experience must be fully supported on your resume to be considered for the position.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-admin.asp. Education

Applicants that do not meet the specialized experience as described above may qualify with education or a combination of experience and education, as follows:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or
LL.M., if related; or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
