About the Position: This position is with the 81st Regional Support Command Safety Office located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Duties

Serve as a representative to Safety Councils and committees. Administer an accident reporting program. Plan, schedule, and conduct periodic Safety and Occupational Health Inspections. Evaluate compliance the safety and occupational health program. Review safety inspections. Develop guidelines. Plan formal safety education courses. Advise the Safety Manager on accident prevention matters. Serve as a member to accident investigation board.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This position requires a CP-12 Level 1 Certificate within one year of appointment.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience above in order to qualify.For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
