This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Incumbent serves as an Audio, Video, and Motion Picture Equipment Maintenance Specialist in the Moving Image and Sound Preservation Branch (RXM), Preservation Programs Division (RX), Office of Research Services (R) of the National Archives and Records Administration. The position reports to the RXM Director.

As an Equipment Specialist (Audio, Video, and Motion Picture Equipment Maintenance Specialist), you will:
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience must include all of the below:
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine/preventative maintenance on professional moving image, and sound playback/capture equipment, which must include magnetic tape players; AND
Experience developing procedures for performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and improving reliability of professional moving image, and sound equipment; AND
Experience determining requirements needed for the long-term use of professional moving image and sound playback and capture equipment, including identifying service providers and stocking spare parts.
