About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Conduct trend analysis of non-contract purchases and makes contract recommendation utilizing established contracting procedures. Update automated databases with information provided from various sources to include, but not limited to, correct price, Vendor Reference Number, delivery date, and relevant notes. Utilize a thorough knowledge of standardized supply and acquisition regulations to perform a variety of technical support duties related to purchasing Class VIII medical supplies. Utilize acquisition, contracting and electronic commerce procedures to acquire required medical supplies and equipment estimated at over $66M annually. Execute electronic commerce processes utilizing established procedures. Serve as a Government Purchase cardholder and purchasing agent with purchasing authority and monthly/quarterly limits as determined by the Approving Official.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
