Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs to optimize business results and customer experience by: Provides supervision and direction to accomplish work of the Division. Manages Digital communication activities, works closely with leadership, senior managers, Executive Office, and staff on strategic planning and budgeting, implementing, and evaluating Division activities and projects. Oversee and leads service contracts-related websites and digital projects. Coordinates, prepares, reviews, and approves statements of work, independent government cost estimates, IT checklists and acquisition plans. Manages and administers Digital's program and works with Executive Office and senior leadership to ensure the budget is aligned with strategic goals and objectives. Oversees and manages technical support, websites digital communications working groups, digital communications service development, databases, the hosting of DHHS digital web content, usability, Executive Orders or federal government mandates related to Digital Communications, and design support.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing all of the following: Leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of organizational wide digital communication technology plans, programs, and solutions including managing web development and design, information architecture, web content management systems, data transparency, social media, and digital technologies. Serving as a lead and/or senior advisor on developing website and digital services governance, compliance, policy recommendations and programmatic guidance relating to digital (websites, web applications content and social engagement) communications Leading a team and directing the efforts of digital (web content, engagement, and technical) communications staff to meet project due dates and milestones. Provide expert advice and formal presentations to senior management, executives and other internal/external stakeholders in the planning, prioritization, development and execution of a digital communications program.
