You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the N33 Force Travel, Operations Department of COMNAVRESFOR.

Duties

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Defense Travel System (DTS). You will manage and conduct Defense Travel System (DTS) audits throughout the Navy Reserve Force to confirm compliance to rules and regulations. You will identify an employees development needs to provide or arrange for training to maintain and improve job performance. You will provide direction for creating and/or maintaining organizational routing structure for approval and certification of travel and ensures compliance with DTS policies. You will use desktop computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office to support program planning and analysis.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • This position may require travel 5-10%.

  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • Position requires proficiency in use of desktop computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office to support program planning and analysis.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience implementing maintaining and oversee the Defense Travel System (DTS). Experience on DFAS organization, mission, functions and applicable DoD and Federal regulations and rules for application to financial management systems and of transportation entitlements rules and procedures. Experience developing and conducting training and briefings. Experience using desktop computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office to support program planning and analysis.
