Duties
Serves as the Clinical Specialist within the Behavioral Health program, Community Counseling Center. Serves as the Clinical Specialist within the Behavioral Health program, Community Counseling Center. Implements policies, conducts screenings, clinical counseling services and case management services for Behavioral Health Branch programs. Serves as the first point of contact for behavioral health services for active duty Marines, retired military members, their families, and others as authorized by DoD policy. Comprehensive counseling services include: screening, clinical case management, individual, marital, group, and family treatment. Reviews, develops, coordinates and provides case management services concerning Behavioral Health participants to include but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, coping and other factors which detract from an individual's behavioral health. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Behavioral Health counseling treatment services, to include conducting screenings, determination of client's level of functioning, prognosis, treatment or need for appropriate referral.

Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral-level degree from a college or university with a programnationally accredited in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling,psychology, or other appropriate human service and/or mental health professionaldegree.Ability to obtain supervision that will be applied towards their licensure under anapproved supervision plan as required by the state licensing board from whichthey are seeking licensure, and meet any applicable requirements related tocredentialing and privileging in accordance with Service CCP headquarterspolicies. Hiring program does not guarantee program supervision hours will beapplicable towards state licensure.Licensure/certification shall be completed within a 36-month period of hire date.Personnel must undergo an IRC, be subject to the additional requirements of theCNACI and the criteria presumptive and automatic disqualification as specified insection 3 of DoDI 1402.5.Experience that demonstrates mastery of the principles and practices in the field of behavioralhealth counseling and skill and experienced judgment in extending advanced concepts andmethods for improving the quality and accessibility of behavioral health services. Experiencethat demonstrates that subject matter expertise in behavioral health counseling, clinicalprogram development, professional training, clinical supervision theory and practice, licensingand certification requirements, and other aspects of counseling. Experience that demonstratesthe ability to provide expert technical assistance to professionals in the field and the ability tointroduce innovative approaches and extension of established methods and practices.*This position is telework eligible in accordance with local level policy
