About the Position: Serve as the Budget Analyst (Operations) for the Joint Counter Small-Unmanned Aircraft System Office (JCO) under the supervision of the JCO Operations Section Chief in the JCO Resource Management Division.

Duties

Responsible for providing financial analysis for all JCO support budget and logistic programs including all phases of program planning and analysis for Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA). Advise the JCO Resource Manager and JCO Leadership, on policies and controls for the obligation and expenditure of OMA funds. Major functions include financial management and reporting; budget formation support; Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE); and budget controls. Analyze force structure requirements, organization and functions, and the management and documentation of the manpower and equipment authorization programs. Provide procurement and acquisition management oversight which includes contract administration and contract management.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget ExecutionConcepts, Policies, and Principles of BudgetControl of FundsDecision Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
