This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), San Francisco Division, Office of Diversion Program Manager, Diversion Group (San Francisco), San Francisco, CA.
This position(s) primary purpose is to conduct research and analysis, perform database searches, data collection and administrative support.

As a Program Support Assistant (OA) your typical work assignments may include:
Providing support and assisting in the planning, reviewing, and reporting of data/statistical results of program or project studies.
Integrating several types of software, such as spreadsheet, database, word processing, desktop publishing, and graphics applications, to generate specific working documents and forms.
Receiving and reviewing documents, reports, and or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
Performing unique queries of considerable difficulty using specialized skills to extract data from a broad range of computer systems.
Conducting research independently, evaluating and validating specific data for use in complex reports and studies authored by others.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
One year of specialized experience for this position includes:
GS-07: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) generating reports; 2) reviewing documents for omissions and inconsistencies; 3) receiving telephone calls and relaying to appropriate staff member; and 4) using office automation software to produce documents.
GS-08: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) summarizing data from several sources; 2) entering data in and retrieving data from electronic information systems; 3) performing basic analysis of data; and 4) independently completing research to validate data.
PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute with 3 or fewer errors.
