You will serve as a Training Specialist in the Training Directorate of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will serve as a Field Learning Standards Officer supporting the maintenance and delivery of technical training curriculum at the Trident training facility. You will establish and maintain standards for curricula design, testing, and evaluation as well as evaluating instructor performance and training aids. You will provide training administrative services in the analysis, design and development of instructional programs and curricula and assists the supported learning site in administration of instructor programs.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying training methods, techniques, and tools to maintain training courses and materials, evaluate training programs, and/or complete special projects; 2) Utilizes computer skills to transfer curriculum material to instructors and other training sites.; 3) Trains and evaluates instructors utilizing advanced instructor skills and techniques; 4) Develops courses of instruction by providing audit management support, curriculum delivery and Interactive Multimedia Instruction Management services and curriculum maintenance. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
