About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL, 33040, J4.
Duties
Organizes and directs the execution of numerous comprehensive and diverse logistics programs.
Responsible for logistical requirements in support of assets planning and executing counter transnational criminal operations.
Manages long-range logistical planning in structuring and scheduling future operational requirements consistent with the needs of the organization.
Briefs high-level officials on logistics plans and issues to various Federal Agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- A non-disclosure agreement must be signed prior to appointment.
- May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower grade (GS/GG-13) level in the Federal Service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience organizing and directing the execution of numerous and diverse logistics programs to support the counterdrug/counter-narcoterrorism (CD/CNT) and counter threat network (CTN) operations.
