About the Position: This position is located at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA.

Duties

Identify processes that could be improved or make more efficient and propose alternate approaches to management. Assist in the execution of internal operations to include administrative training, personnel assistance, security and the development of organizational operating instructions and regulations. Develop and implement procedures to track and sustain programs at satisfactory levels. Advise commander/director and squadron member on policy and requirements of unit and associated programs. Assist newly assigned personnel to unit by orienting them on basic organization functions, scheduling training and introducing them to key personnel. Conduct reviews and briefings on management functions and recommended resolutions to problems. Administer administrative support programs such as cybersecurity, travel card, travel, health care, fitness, safety, purchase card, drug demand reduction, supply, time attendance and unit recognition. Prepare and maintain administrative reports, directives, and other correspondence. Conduct studies/surveys to determine program compliance and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds is required.
