About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Position is located at Fort Eisenhower, GA. The fort is located southwest of Augusta, GA and home to the United States Army Signal Corps, Army Cyber Command and the Cyber Center of Excellence.
Duties
Serves as multi-discipline Security Specialist, responsible for providing security support to two or more intelligence-related security programs.
Uses initiative and resourcefulness to independently identify and resolve difficult and complex security issues not resolvable by established regulations, guidelines, or processes.
Maintains oversight of classified contracts, ensuring they meet contractual requirements, are completed IAW Industrial Security guidelines, and the contractors have the proper clearances in order to complete those contractual requirements.
Applies, interprets, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards for the protection of classified information.
Reviews locally generated classified documents to ensure they contain appropriate classification marking requirements.
Develops or supports development of local physical security policies, standards, and procedures, and provides technical guidance designed to protect personnel, facilities, property, and other assets.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience performing duties in two or more of the following security disciplines; Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, and/or Information Security. AND
Experience with establishing an effective security program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
