About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Position is located at Fort Eisenhower, GA. The fort is located southwest of Augusta, GA and home to the United States Army Signal Corps, Army Cyber Command and the Cyber Center of Excellence.
Duties
Supervises civilian and military employees engaged in security work, or any work requiring security access, e.g. training, testing, etc.
Authoritative source of information on all matters pertaining to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), (daily and long-range operations, inspections, policies, investigation of all security violations.
Provides support of special investigations or projects and related programs, throughout the installation and other applicable locations, and end users involving all aspects of (SCI).
Performs the full range of personnel management responsibilities, to include technical and administrative supervision.
Assigns, directs, and reviews work; prepares performance objectives; counsels subordinates on work and prepares evaluations (military and civilian).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience implementing policy procedures related to security administration and/or management of classified and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). AND
Experience with investigation requirements and granting, denying, or revoking of personnel security clearances. AND
Experience with validating Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) access control methods and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
NOTE: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
