You will serve as a RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Command and Staff Office (N04C) of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.
Duties
You will confirm the administration of organizations records information management (RIM) program is aligned with mission needs.
You will deliver records management briefings to employees assuring adherence to regulations and guidelines.
You will conduct periodic records and information management (RIM) quality control reviews, compliance audits, risk assessments and surveys to assess effectiveness of process improvement methods.
You will conduct internal studies to analyze record management to make recommendations to senior level management on improvement methodologies.
You will write statements justifying funding, manpower, or operations requirements of a records program.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing, maintaining, and advising on official records and records management programs for an Organization; 2) Providing research and archival services in support of action development, collaboration, coordination, and making decisions regarding records management; 3) Utilizing and/or developing all formats/methods (electronic, media, etc.) to manage a records program; and 4) Developing and presenting records and information management training.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
